How are you feeling?

It feels like I am in a room where the air never moves. Not hot enough to panic, but warm enough to feel tired all the time. The walls are made of glass, so you can see outside, the world moving, shifting, people going somewhere, but nothing invites you out. It’s all a little grey. Not stormy, just dull.

You keep thinking about movement. About purpose. About how others seem to have it, wear it like a jacket that fits them just right. You don’t know where yours is, or if it ever got made for you. You just sit in that room, trying not to take up too much space.

Music helps, sometimes. Not the happy kind. Just the ones that let you disappear for a while. Like falling backward into water. You hear the world above you, muffled, distant, but none of it reaches you fully. And maybe that’s okay for a little while.

so relatable, "The walls are made of glass, so you can see outside, the world moving, shifting, people going somewhere, but nothing invites you out." is one of the best things I have read in a while.
